Over 80 Lives Lost Overnight… Sowore Blasts Defence Minister: ‘Is Politics Now More Important Than Nigerian Lives?’

Nigeria has been thrown into fresh mourning after a horrifying wave of violence reportedly claimed the lives of over 80 people in Jos, Plateau State. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch Video Now.

The shocking incident, which happened overnight, has left families shattered, communities in fear, and many Nigerians asking the same painful question — when will this end?

But what has sparked even more outrage is the reaction of activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, who did not hold back in expressing his anger. He accused the nation’s leadership of misplaced priorities at a time when innocent lives are being cut short.

Before you continue, there’s a shocking hidden truth behind this crisis that many Nigerians are just discovering — don’t miss it here 👉 http://shorturl.at/hd8yi — it may change how you see everything happening right now.

In a strongly worded statement shared on his official X account, Sowore questioned why Nigeria’s Defence Minister appears more concerned with political activities linked to the All Progressives Congress than addressing the deadly insecurity spreading across the country.

According to him, the situation in Jos is not just tragic — it is alarming and unacceptable. He pointed out that communities across Nigeria, especially in Plateau State, have continued to suffer repeated attacks without lasting solutions.

Sowore’s words have struck a nerve among many Nigerians who feel abandoned. He argued that when leaders focus on party conventions instead of protecting citizens, it sends a dangerous message — that politics may be taking priority over human lives.

The activist also warned that this pattern of violence, if not urgently addressed, could further destroy public trust in the government. Many are now questioning whether current security strategies are truly working or if more needs to be done behind the scenes.

As fear spreads and tension rises, Sowore has called for immediate action — better intelligence, stronger coordination among security agencies, and most importantly, a renewed commitment to protecting innocent Nigerians.

The tragedy in Jos has once again opened deep wounds across the nation. Families are grieving. Communities are shaken. And the cry for justice is getting louder.
