According to accounts shared in a viral interview, Friday said he was threatened with a knife in the dead of the night and forced to confess to an allegation he strongly denied. Friday explained that the situation escalated when his stepmother accused him of something he insists he never did. He said she allegedly brought out a knife and threatened to kill him if he did not confess. Out of fear for his life, he said he was forced to deny nothing just to survive the night.
Things reportedly got worse when he was taken to another man who accused him of witchcraft. There, Friday said he was tortured and his hands were burned over hot charcoal. Despite the pain, he still refused to admit to the false allegation. Unfortunately, the damage to his hands became severe and later worsened due to infection.

It was a passerby who eventually noticed his condition and alerted authorities, leading to her arrest. By then, doctors reportedly said the damage was too severe, and one of his hands had to be amputated.
