Man Arrested For Stealing Ambulance with Patient Inside
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in the United Kingdom after allegedly stealing an ambulance that still had a patient, a paramedic, and another passenger inside at the time of the incident. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch What Happened.
According to Tribune News on March 27, 2026, the shocking event occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday outside the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Staffordshire.
Police say the suspect drove off in the emergency vehicle while people were still in the rear compartment. Despite the alarming situation, authorities confirmed that no injuries were recorded.
Staffordshire Police launched a rapid response operation and tracked the ambulance until it was eventually stopped at an Esso petrol station along the A34 near Newcastle-under-Lyme.
After abandoning the vehicle, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was later found and arrested in nearby marshland with the help of a police dog unit.
He is currently being held on suspicion of multiple offences, including kidnapping, vehicle theft, driving under the influence, and refusal to provide a specimen for testing. Investigations are ongoing.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that a replacement ambulance was immediately dispatched to ensure the patient received continued care and safe transport to the hospital.
Officials also carried out a welfare check on the paramedic involved to confirm their safety and wellbeing following the ordeal.
Authorities have urged anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward as investigations continue into what they described as an unusual and deeply concerning case.
