“KWANKWASO IS A GREAT NIGERIAN, BUT KANO PEOPLE WILL VOTE TINUBU IN 2027” — Reno Omokri Sparks Fresh Political Firestorm Over 2027 Election Battle

Fresh political tension has emerged in Nigeria’s political space after former presidential aide and ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, made a bold statement concerning the political direction of Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His comment has quickly stirred reactions online, especially among supporters of key political figures.

In a post shared on his official X handle, Omokri acknowledged former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing him as a respected Nigerian leader. However, he insisted that despite Kwankwaso’s influence and recent political movements, the people of Kano State would still support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Omokri’s statement comes at a time when Kwankwaso’s political alignment and movements have continued to generate debate across the country. The former Kano governor’s reported resignation from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and growing association with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has already sparked mixed reactions among political watchers.

While some see Kwankwaso’s moves as a strategic step that could reshape opposition politics, others believe it may not significantly alter the political loyalty of voters in Kano State, one of Nigeria’s most politically influential regions.

Omokri, however, appears confident that President Tinubu still maintains strong political ground in the North-West, particularly in Kano, ahead of the next election cycle.

The statement has since triggered heated debate on social media, with Nigerians divided over whether Kwankwaso’s influence can shift voter sentiment or if the ruling party will maintain its grip in 2027.

What do you think about this political prediction? Do you agree that Kano will vote Tinubu in 2027? Drop your opinion in the comment section. Share this with someone who follows Nigerian politics closely.
