“PIPELINE MONEY SHOCKER: ‘OLU OF WARRI GETS MORE THAN TOMPOLO’ — ASARI DOKUBO SPARKS HEATED DEBATE WITH NEW REVELATION”

Fresh controversy has erupted in the Niger Delta following outspoken leader, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, who made bold claims about the distribution of pipeline protection contracts and the huge sums allegedly involved in the arrangement. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch Video Now.

Speaking during a live broadcast on his official Facebook page on March 27, 2026, Asari Dokubo addressed ongoing debates around pipeline contracts, regional interests, and leadership roles among key Niger Delta figures. He emphasized that his position is guided by loyalty to his community and a desire to avoid internal conflict among Ijaw stakeholders.

Dokubo questioned the benefits of rivalry within the region, warning that fighting among local leaders could weaken collective progress. He also referenced other traditional rulers in the Niger Delta, noting that some, like the Olu of Warri, have maintained a different approach to such disputes.

The former militant leader further stirred reactions when he made claims about financial differences in pipeline-related arrangements. According to him, the Olu of Warri reportedly receives more from pipeline contracts than Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, citing figures he placed at about N2.7 trillion and N2.1 trillion respectively.

His comments immediately sparked debate online, with many questioning the accuracy of the figures while others focused on the broader issue of resource control, contract allocation, and regional equity in Nigeria’s oil-rich Niger Delta.

Dokubo concluded by suggesting that if pipeline contracts were more widely distributed, more people would benefit significantly from the system.

What do you think about these explosive claims? Should pipeline contracts be more transparent and evenly shared?
