“DON’T GANG UP AGAINST DANGOTE” — PRIMATE AYODELE HAILS BILLIONAIRE AS ‘MESSIAH’ OF NIGERIA’S ECONOMY, WARNS OF ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES

A strong wave of reaction has followed comments by the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch Video Now.

Who has openly defended Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, amid what he described as attempts to frustrate the industrial giant’s influence in Nigeria’s economy.

Speaking in a Facebook video shared on Friday, March 27, 2026, Primate Ayodele warned against any coordinated opposition toward Dangote, describing him as a key figure whose investments have significantly supported Nigeria’s industrial growth. He said Dangote should not be targeted, insisting that his contributions have been vital to the country’s survival in difficult economic times.

In his words, the cleric said attempts to “gang up” against the billionaire would be harmful to national progress, referring to him as a “messiah” of the economy due to his massive investments in sectors such as cement production, sugar, manufacturing, and oil refining.

Ayodele explained that Dangote’s businesses have helped reduce import dependence, create thousands of jobs, and strengthen local production capacity across Nigeria. He argued that individuals of such economic influence play a stabilizing role in a struggling economy and should be supported rather than opposed.

He further warned that any perceived hostility toward major investors could send negative signals to both local and international stakeholders, potentially discouraging future investments and slowing economic growth.

The cleric also emphasized the need for unity in supporting private sector players who contribute to national development, noting that Nigeria’s progress depends on an environment that encourages business expansion and industrial stability.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing with his stance, while others debate the level of influence private individuals should have over the national economy.

What do you think about this statement? Is Dangote truly Nigeria’s economic “messiah” or is this going too far?
