“I Threw Petrol Inside A House Which Had Twenty People” – Man On How He Ended Up In Prison
A disturbing story has emerged from Kenya involving a man identified as Andrew Kipsang from Kuresoi North Constituency, whose moment of anger has now cost him years behind bars.
According to reports aired by Inooro TV, Andrew is currently serving a prison sentence after he was found guilty of a shocking incident that happened back in 2015, where he attempted to burn down a house occupied by over twenty people.
The tragic chain of events reportedly began when Andrew, who struggled with alcoholism, passed by an illicit alcohol joint. While drinking, a misunderstanding broke out after a friend allegedly took his Arafat.
What started as a small argument quickly escalated into violence, as he was beaten by several people at the scene. In anger and intoxication, he later returned home, picked up five litres of petrol, went back to the drinking spot, and set the house ablaze.
Thankfully, no life was lost, but several people sustained injuries and trauma from the fire. He was later arrested, charged with five counts of attempted murder, and sentenced to 10 years in prison after the sentences were ordered to run concurrently.
