Fubara Kept Telling Us That Everything Is Sorted Out, Wike Kept Saying I Will Never Forgive—Briggs
Annkio Briggs has raised fresh concerns over the prolonged political crisis in Rivers State, alleging that Governor Siminalayi Fubara repeatedly assured residents that peace had been restored while Nyesom Wike maintained that unresolved issues remained.
Speaking on Channels Television, Briggs said Fubara appears politically constrained despite being the elected governor. She claimed the crisis between both leaders has lasted for nearly four years and continues to threaten stability in the state.
“Governor Fubara kept telling us that everything is sorted out, while the former governor kept saying nothing had been sorted out,” she said.
Briggs also insisted that Wike, despite his influence, “is not the ruler or the emperor of Rivers State.”
