Martin Amaewhule, Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, said governorship primaries will hold next week in a Symfoni video on Saturday, May 16, 2026, after winning his ward during party congress, amid rising political mobilization across Rivers State.
He said: “By next week, we’ll be coming out to vote again for the governorship… When the time comes, we know what to do,” noting his Ward One victory while voting continues across wards.
