Another heated controversy is shaking social media as Omoyele Sowore weighs in on the ongoing clash involving Linus Williams Ifejirika and Martins Vincent Otse.

In a trending video, Sowore tackled the issue of trademark rights, making a bold claim that has left many Nigerians debating.

Don’t miss the heated argument everyone is talking about above.
If you pass it now, you may not catch the full gist later.

He questioned Blord’s claim of owning the name “Ratel,” arguing that it is not something that can simply be trademarked.

To explain, Sowore used a popular example, saying even global brands like Apple had to modify their identity before securing legal rights. According to him, you cannot just trademark a natural thing like an animal in its raw form.

He stressed that “Ratel,” being an animal, does not exist in Nigeria’s trademark registry in that form and would require clear uniqueness before it can be protected legally.

This statement has fueled fresh arguments online, with supporters and critics clashing over who is right.

As the Blord and VeryDarkMan saga continues, many Nigerians are now paying close attention to the legal side of branding and identity.

One question remains loud.

Who truly owns a name in Nigeria?
