“They Should Prepare for a Mighty Fall…” — Femi Fani-Kayode Fires Strong Warning as African Democratic Congress Faces Internal Crisis Ahead of 2027

Political tension is already building ahead of the 2027 elections, and a fresh statement from former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has added more heat to the conversation.

In a bold and fiery message, Fani-Kayode did not hold back as he spoke about the current state of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), raising serious concerns about the party’s readiness for the next general election.

His words were sharp, direct, and full of warning.

According to him, victory in politics is not just about winning—it is about defeating your opponent completely.

“Winning will not be as much fun unless we give them a good hiding in the field of battle,” he said.

That statement alone has sparked reactions across political circles.

But beyond the strong language, Fani-Kayode pointed to deeper issues within the ADC that could affect its chances in 2027.

He revealed that the party is currently struggling with internal divisions, leadership disagreements, and unresolved conflicts that are creating uncertainty about its future.

For many observers, this is a serious concern.

In Nigeria’s political system, unity within a party is key. Without it, even the most popular party can fall apart before the real battle begins.

Fani-Kayode also raised questions about whether the ADC can meet the official requirements set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), especially when it comes to presenting a valid presidential candidate.

With court cases and internal disputes still lingering, there are fears that the party could face complications if these issues are not resolved quickly.

Despite the growing attention the ADC is receiving in political discussions, Fani-Kayode warned that visibility alone is not enough.

According to him, structure, unity, and proper organization are what truly determine success during elections.

He advised party members to settle their differences, come together, and build a strong front before it is too late.

As Nigeria slowly moves closer to another election season, statements like this are a reminder that the real contest may not just be between parties—but within them.
