“I Couldn’t Eat For 7 Months… I Was Vomiting Blood” — Taiwo Hassan Shares Painful Health Battle That Nearly Took His Life
Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has opened up on a terrifying health ordeal that left him weak, helpless, and fighting for survival.
In a deeply emotional revelation, the respected Yoruba movie star shared how a serious ulcer condition almost ended his life, describing the experience as one of the darkest periods he has ever faced.
According to him, the sickness came suddenly and got worse over time, to the point where he could no longer eat properly.
“I couldn’t eat for 7 months, and anytime I tried to eat, I would vomit the food with blood,” he revealed.
The shocking confession has left fans emotional, with many expressing gratitude that he survived such a painful condition.
Ogogo explained that the health issue became noticeable while he was on a movie set. He suddenly felt extremely weak and had to step away from filming because he could not continue.
It was during this period that fellow actress Remi Surutu noticed his condition and advised him to seek medical attention, suspecting it could be an ulcer based on his symptoms.
Following her advice, he went to the hospital for a proper check-up, and doctors confirmed that he was indeed suffering from a severe ulcer.
The diagnosis came as both a relief and a warning—relief because the cause was known, and warning because the condition had already become very serious.
Ogogo said the journey to recovery was not easy, but he strongly believes it was divine intervention that brought him back to good health.
“It was God that healed me and brought me out of the situation,” he said, expressing deep gratitude for his survival.
The actor’s testimony has sparked emotional reactions from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom see his story as a reminder of how fragile health can be, no matter one’s fame or status.
His experience also highlights the importance of early medical attention and listening to warning signs from the body before things get worse.
Today, Ogogo’s story stands as one of survival, gratitude, and hope.
