Fresh political tension is brewing in Kano State as reports claim that Nasir Yusuf Gawuna,This things dey happen around you, Watch What Happened.

A key figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former 2023 governorship candidate, may be considering a major political move that could shake the state’s power structure.

According to reports attributed to The Nigerian Tribune, Gawuna is allegedly being linked to possible talks with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), while also reportedly reconnecting with the Kwankwasiyya political movement led by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. These developments have sparked intense speculation across Nigeria’s political space.

Sources suggest that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is allegedly making efforts to keep Gawuna within the APC fold, amid fears that his exit could trigger wider realignments in Kano politics. The situation has reportedly caused unease within the state APC structure, especially among top stakeholders.

Further reports claim that recent interactions between Kwankwaso and Gawuna, including public remarks praising his loyalty and character, have added fuel to ongoing defection rumours. Some political observers believe these signals may indicate early stages of a possible political shift ahead of future elections.

Adding more tension, reports also suggest that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reportedly stepped into the matter, allegedly engaging top political actors to prevent further breakdown of alliances in the state.

As it stands, political watchers say Kano’s political landscape is becoming increasingly unpredictable, with shifting loyalties and silent negotiations shaping what could become a major realignment ahead of 2027.

What do you think about this unfolding political drama in Kano? Is APC losing grip or just political speculation? Drop your opinion in the comment section. Share this with someone who needs to see this.
