“They Will Ask for Outrageous Demands” — Primate Ayodele Warns FG Over Looming Oil Workers’ Strike

Popular Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a fresh warning to the Federal Government over a possible industrial action by oil workers’ unions.

cautioning that it could trigger serious economic consequences if not properly handled. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch What Happened.

His warning comes amid rising tension involving key oil sector unions such as the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), where concerns of a potential strike have begun to circulate.

Speaking during a recent prophecy message, Ayodele urged government authorities to act quickly and prevent any shutdown in the petroleum sector, stressing that the impact would be too severe for ordinary Nigerians.

He warned that if a strike eventually happens, negotiations could become extremely difficult and demands from union leaders may go beyond what the government is willing or able to meet.

“They will ask for outrageous demands and the government might not want to react to it,” he said, urging early intervention before the situation escalates.

The cleric stressed that any disruption in the oil and gas sector would have a direct and immediate effect on Nigeria’s already struggling economy, especially in areas like fuel supply, transportation costs, and inflation.

He further advised that dialogue should begin early between government officials and union leaders to prevent misunderstandings from turning into a full-blown crisis.

According to him, both parties must prioritize national interest above personal or institutional demands, warning that failure to reach a compromise could worsen hardship for citizens across the country.

Ayodele also emphasized that stability in the oil sector is critical to Nigeria’s economic survival, noting that prolonged strikes in such a sensitive industry could ripple across all sectors of the economy.

As discussions continue, Nigerians are watching closely to see whether government intervention will prevent a shutdown or if negotiations will break down in the coming days.
