“They Are All The Same!” — Explosive Claim Rocks Nigeria As Top Voice Says APC, PDP, ADC Are Just ‘Different Costumes’
A bold and uncomfortable truth is shaking Nigeria’s political space right now, as Abumchukwu Okoye openly declares that the country’s major political parties may not be as different as Nigerians believe. Watch Video Now.
Speaking during a recent interview with The Sun on March 23, 2026, the National Coordinator of the Take Back Nigeria Initiative raised serious concerns that could change how many Nigerians see politics forever.
Okoye did not hold back. He warned that Nigeria’s political system is slowly losing its soul, as many politicians now focus more on personal gain than the welfare of the people. According to him, constant defections between parties have weakened opposition, making it harder for true accountability to exist.
In his words, “I don’t see much difference between All Progressives Congress, People’s Democratic Party, and African Democratic Congress — it’s just different costumes.”
He compared today’s politics with Nigeria’s early democratic years, when leaders like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa were driven by strong beliefs and clear party ideologies. Back then, he said, even presidents respected party structures and listened to internal debates.
Today, according to him, that discipline is fading fast.
He warned that if this continues, Nigeria’s democracy could suffer serious damage. Without strong opposition or clear direction, the system risks becoming a playground for power rather than service.
This revelation is already sparking heated debate online and offline.
