“Wike Is No. 1 Even In APC?” — Momodu Fires at BAT, Sparks Rivers Political Storm
The political temperature in Rivers State just skyrocketed! Dele Momodu, former presidential candidate and political commentator, has unleashed a fiery critique over the confusing advice given to Siminalayi Fubara about respecting former Governor Nyesom Wike. Watch What Happened.
Speaking on Arise TV, Momodu didn’t hold back, saying it makes no sense that Fubara, a rising APC governor in Rivers, is being told to respect Wike, who is technically not a member of APC. “You are telling the governor he must respect Wike, and Wike is number one in APC where he is not a member,” Momodu said.
He added that it gets even more confusing: Wike is also considered the leader of PDP in Rivers, a party Fubara has already clashed with. Momodu questioned the logic of President Tinubu’s intervention: how can someone who is not part of the PDP decide its leader?
This statement has sent Rivers political circles into frenzy, as Nigerians debate party loyalty, leadership authority, and how Wike continues to wield influence across party lines.
So, is Wike really the untouchable kingmaker of Rivers, or is this just political theater?
