Speaking on Monday, February 23, 2026, the APC senatorial hopeful for Ondo Central explained that the law provides clear remedies for electoral disputes. He stressed that contestants should not panic over the method of collation, as polling unit results remain the strongest evidence in court.
Adu noted that Nigeria’s electoral framework includes safeguards to ensure fairness and transparency. According To NewsVista Reporter, he emphasized that sincerity and strict adherence to the law matter more than whether results are uploaded electronically or recorded manually.
“Whether it is sent electronically or manually, as long as you have it, you can still challenge it in court. That shouldn’t be a problem,” he said.
His comments come amid ongoing debates over electronic transmission, BVAS, and electoral credibility, offering reassurance to candidates preparing for post-election litigation.
