Senate’s New Election Plan Could Let INEC Rig 2027 Polls – Galadima Warns
According To NewsVista Reporter, Nigerian politician Buba Galadima has raised serious concerns over the Senate’s recent approval of electronic transmission of election results.

Galadima, a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party, warned that if the Electronic Transmission Bill is passed in its current form, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, could be directed to rely solely on Form EC8A. He claimed this would open the door for potential manipulation during the 2027 presidential election.
The Senate recently voted to legalise electronic result transmission but also kept manual collation as a backup. Galadima strongly rejected the measure, stating that such a law would give INEC excessive control and undermine election transparency.
He insisted that the only acceptable approach is a system that ensures credibility and fairness, warning Nigerians to stay alert to prevent rigging.
