Yoruba Nollywood star Wasiu Babalola, famously known as King of Boys, has dismissed rumors surrounding the late actress Ajara Lasisi, lovingly called Aunty Ajara, who passed away earlier this month.
According To NewsVista Reporter, Babalola told FeelRightNews TV that stories claiming Aunty Ajara gave birth to twins or was buried alongside them are completely false. He blamed bloggers for spreading fake news that has stirred confusion and sorrow.
The rumors surfaced amid grief over Ajara’s death on February 5, 2026, following a long battle with liver-related health issues worsened by pregnancy complications. Some false reports even suggested she was buried while pregnant, which Babalola firmly denied.
Known for her comedic flair in Yoruba cinema, Aunty Ajara had openly shared her past pain of losing a child after birth. Her burial followed Islamic rites, carried out quietly with family asking supporters to refrain from further donations.
Babalola’s statement aims to restore truth and respect the memory of the beloved actress.
