Akpabio Congratulates Governor Muftwang: “You Have Conquered Plateau State Again in 2027”
According to NewsVista Reporter, Senate President Godswill Akpabio praised Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang on February 9, 2026, declaring that he has firmly secured his leadership ahead of the 2027 elections. Akpabio also welcomed Muftwang as the newest prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at a formal event in Jos, the state capital, Akpabio said, “Even the Bible says, Caleb, we can ascend the mountain and claim it. Today marks a significant milestone, showing that you have once again secured the Government House in Plateau State for 2027.”
He highlighted that Muftwang’s defection symbolizes APC’s growing strength in the North-Central region, emphasizing unity and victory.
Addressing rumors about religious favoritism, Akpabio dismissed such claims, assuring that the administration remains committed to inclusivity and fairness across all communities.
