South East Voters Will Shock Parties That Ignore Performance, Kalu Warns
Chief Emeka Charles Kalu has issued a strong message to political parties ahead of the 2027 elections in the South East. Watch full report
According To NewsVista Reporter, Kalu spoke with Daily Independent on Sunday, February 1, 2026, saying that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should not assume easy victories just because of recent defections.
Kalu, who is a former PDP chieftain and Abia North Senatorial aspirant, explained that South East voters care deeply about how leaders perform and how they treat the people.
He said fairness, inclusion, and respect matter most to these voters. Simply switching parties does not guarantee votes.
Kalu also stressed that the opposition still has a chance if it focuses on real leadership and clear policies.
He warned, “The South East votes based on performance, inclusion, and respect. Any party that ignores these realities will be shocked at the polls.”
