1998: Olisa Was Arrested & Put In Car Boot;Sgt Rogers Told Falana He Was Ordered To Kill Olisa – Oroh
In an interview on State Affairs with Edmund Obilo, a former commissioner in Edo State, Hon Abdul Oroh, stated that he participated in the “Five-Million-Man March” held in Yaba, Lagos State in protest of the government of General Sani Abacha in 1998
Oroh stated that during the protest, Olisa Agbakoba (SAN) was arrested and forced into the boot of a car by the police. He said Agbakoba was taken away but was later released the next day by a magistrate court
Oroh said Sergeant Rogers later told Femi Falana that he (Rogers) was ordered to kill Agbakoba during the protest but was unable to find him during the event
In Oroh’s exact words: “Olisa was arrested and put in the boot of a car. In fact, Sergeant Rogers told Femi Falana later that he had instructions to kill Olisa but he couldn’t find him. The police had take him away. Eventually Olisa was released the next day by a magistrate court”
