“Mark My Words!” — Reno Omokri Sparks Firestorm, Says Kwankwaso Can’t Stop Tinubu in Kano 2027

Nigeria’s political scene is heating up fast — and this latest statement has set social media on fire!

Former presidential aide and Ambassador-designate, Reno Omokri, has boldly declared that no matter the moves being made by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will still win Kano State in the 2027 elections.

The comment is already causing serious debate across the country, especially in the North where Kwankwaso remains a powerful political force.

Speaking through his official X account on Monday, Omokri made it clear that while Kwankwaso is respected, his recent defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will not shake the ruling party’s chances.

Kwankwaso, known as the leader of the strong Kwankwasiyya movement, recently dumped the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), a move that shocked many political observers.

Some analysts believe this is a smart strategy to build a powerful opposition alliance ahead of 2027.

But Omokri is not convinced.

In his words, Kano voters are “politically wise” and are already seeing the impact of Tinubu’s leadership. He confidently stated that the people of Kano will stand with the current administration when the time comes.

He even used a striking comparison, saying moving from NNPP to ADC is like switching from a tricycle to a bicycle — while the APC is driving a heavy-duty truck.

According to him, elections in Nigeria are not won by emotions or popularity alone, but by strong political structure and grassroots control.

The situation becomes even more interesting as reports of internal crisis within Kwankwaso’s camp continue to surface. Earlier tensions between him and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reportedly weakened the once-solid Kwankwasiyya base.

For many political watchers, this could be a major turning point ahead of 2027.

Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is: Is Kwankwaso losing his grip, or is this just the beginning of a bigger political comeback?
