Nigeria’s 2027 election conversation is already heating up as fresh political drama emerges from a powerful voice in the student community.

A major statement from Comrade Atiku Isa, President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has set tongues wagging across the country, especially on the possible roles of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in the coming election battle.

According to him, the presence of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso on the ballot could completely change the game. He insisted that both men carry massive political weight and grassroots influence that cannot be ignored in any serious presidential contest.

He specifically stressed that Kwankwaso must not be left out of any major political arrangement, saying his experience and connection with the people make him a critical figure either as a presidential running mate or even a Senate candidate.

Isa went further to explain that his opinion comes from personal interactions and deep political discussions he has had with Kwankwaso over time, claiming he understands the former Kano governor’s strength and reach in Nigerian politics.

He added that any political party that fails to properly position such experienced figures on the ballot may struggle to gain national acceptance or electoral success in 2027.

His statement has since triggered fresh debates online, with many Nigerians divided over whether Obi and Kwankwaso together would truly guarantee victory or if politics is more complex than that.

As the 2027 election draws closer, conversations like this are expected to intensify, especially as alliances, endorsements, and behind-the-scenes negotiations begin to shape the political landscape.

What do you think about this? Could Obi and Kwankwaso really change everything if they team up? Drop your opinion in the comment section. Share this with someone who needs to see this.
