A deeply emotional story has emerged, a Kenyan mother who says her life changed completely after the death of her husband, leaving her to face hardship, rejection, and family conflict while trying to raise her children alone. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch Video Now.

Esther shared that her life was already difficult from childhood, having lost her mother at a young age after her parents separated. She later dropped out of school and got married early, hoping for stability. Together with her husband, she had three children, but tragedy struck when their firstborn passed away, leaving the family emotionally broken.

She further explained that her husband later turned to alcohol, which worsened tensions at home. When he fell ill, she tried reaching out to his family for help, but says they did not respond. He eventually passed away, marking the beginning of even more painful experiences.

According to Esther, her in-laws allegedly began mistreating her after the burial, excluding her from funeral arrangements and denying her recognition as part of the family. She claims she was completely sidelined during the burial proceedings, leaving her deeply humiliated and emotionally hurt.

Her situation worsened when her daughter fell ill, leading to medical bills amounting to about 400,000 shillings. With help from a relative, she managed to settle the hospital costs, but her child’s health complications left lasting effects.

Esther also alleges that her late husband’s inheritance land was taken away by her in-laws, leaving her with no property or stable source of livelihood. Now, she is appealing for help and calling on her husband’s family to return what she believes rightfully belongs to her children.

Her story highlights the painful reality many widows face in Kenya, where loss is often followed by conflict, neglect, and struggle for basic rights and dignity. This things dey happen around you, Watch What Happened.

What do you think about this situation? Should widows have stronger legal protection over family property?
