Former Senate President and ex-Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has finally broken his silence amid growing political rumours linking him to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), making it clear that he has no connection with the party and no plans whatsoever to join them.
Speaking during a heated interview on Politics Today, Saraki insisted that his loyalty remains fully with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that all talks about defection are completely false and misleading. He also revealed that even when the ADC first came into the political space, he openly made it known that he was never part of it and had no intention of joining.
In a statement that has now sparked massive reactions across Nigeria’s political space, Saraki reaffirmed his commitment to PDP unity, saying internal relationships or friendships, including his ties with figures like Nyesom Wike, do not affect his political direction. He insisted that what matters most is protecting the party’s stability ahead of the highly anticipated 2027 elections.
